Forever Friends

We have had an amazing time with Carrie and Avery this weekend. The bond we share is obviously a special one. We have been placed in this Rett Syndrome life (not by choice and sometimes kicking and screaming) but if we have to walk this road, I am so glad that God has given me this wonderful friend to join me along the way.

I bet it's such a great encouragement to have someone who knows exactly what you're going through. Someone to live life with Rett alongside. I hope your friendship strengthens each passing year!

Your Forever Friends blog is really touching and to see all of your photos from their visit here in Indiana gives off a warming feeling. I hope you four keep in touch forever and get to visit with each other again soon!

Oh my gosh...I'm getting teary eyed watching the video of the girls grinding their teeth. My Kelly does the same but all day long, not just when she's sleepy.
I just felt so connected just then. We went to a birthday party this weekend and we met a family who has twin girls..one with Rett just like us. It is so awesome to be with other Rett families...although my husband still has a very hard time seeing other girls who are more physically challenged then our Kelly.
Love and hugs to all

That is so awesome that you two got to meet in person. I pray your friendship will help each other through all the hard times and cheerful times to come! How cool for Brooklyn and Avery too!

Kelly, it was great getting to know Carrie and Avery. Hopefully they enjoyed the visit as much as we did and I'll get to see them again soon. As your mother, I am glad you are reaching out to other Rett moms, and are able to connect with them at a level we cannot. I love you and I love seeing the friendships you are making. You are an awsome mom and I am so proud of you!
