Brooklyn has not been sleeping well at all lately. Actually, I guess once she goes to sleep most of the time she stays asleep but getting to sleep is no fun! She is fighting us every step of the way....I guess that could be a typical four year old thing and not really a Rett Syndrome thing. Either way....I am ready to go back to our smooth bedtime routine!

Not our usual happy girl! And of course she is a little peeved at us for taking pictures of her crabbiness!

Come on...I'd be peeved, too, but at least her fingernails are still pretty =)

we started Avery on Clonidine. It is amazing how fast that stuff works! 12 mins tops :) something to think about....

We have Avery taking Melatonin at night-more to help her stay asleep but it works best for helping fall asleep! we get the liquid kind online and she just drinks it right up! its ind of delish!

ooo poor Brooklyn (and poor mom and dad!!). Annie's battled sleeping issues since diagnosis - I swear it's the worst symptom. Melatonin worked early on for us. Praying it passes soon! We have trazadone now but I'm too scared to use it :)

I have heard wonderful things about Melatonin and it's something you can get OTC.

Oh, I feel your pain. Lauren fights us going to sleep at night. Once asleep, she does great. Since it is not an every night event we haven't tried Melatonin yet. I hope everything went well today at the doctor. I have been praying for you all, Kelly. Boston is as much a snuggle bug as his big sister!

Well, I don't know if this is any consolation or not, but Easton is a bear to get to bed too. Once he falls asleep he's usually fine, but it's getting there that is a challenge. Some nights he even miraculously tip-toes down to our bed after we are fast asleepand makes himself right at home. Pretty sneaky for a four year old! Hopefully, like everything else it's just a phase!
