We went to Toledo today for Brooklyn's Orthapedic Surgeon appointment. Good news and bad news.
Good News: Her back is straight as an arrow - no signs of scoliosis at all!
Bad News: Some troubles with her hip, her left hip actually - it is starting to pull out of socket. Charlie and I have noticed this and had concerns. So - we are going to start bracing her hips at night. Doctor Buerk says it is like her receiving Physical Therapy all night long!
We will have to get this ordered soon, not sure what hers will be like -I googled them online and came up with a couple different options. I will post pictures once we get hers.
If there are any moms out there reading this that have experience with something like this, I would LOVE to hear from you!

Hi Kelly,

Nice to hear that there is no scolosis. We use hiphugger( specialy designed for kids shorts) at night with our daughter. This helps her hips and gait.

Sarah had hip surgery at the age of 6. The left one was coming out. We never did the bracing(it was never offered) so I am hoping this is the solution for Brooklyn. The hip surgery was a bear for Sarah, but successful.

You should have let me know you were in the Toledo area. Would have been great to get together. Where exactly is her doctor located at in Toledo?
