Yesterday we had Brooklyn's first trip to the dentist. She did SO WELL - all smiles! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Derrow and her staff as well. They were so amazing with Brooklyn. I have to admit, I was a bit anxious about this visit but it could not have gone any better! And......NO cavities.....YAY! Dr. Derrow was not too concerned about the grinding at this point, her teeth are not ground down too much. We will visit ever 6 months to keep an eye on them though! There were flat screen TV's on the ceiling!!! I think she liked that!

Afterwards we took her to Olive Garden, her favorite (in case you can't tell from the smile!)

After lunch we had her neurologist appointment....which was a little uneventful. The doctors that we see from the Rett Syndrome Blue Bird in Texas would like to see Brooklyn weaned off of her seizure meds (Keppra) They all feel like she is having the typical "vacant spells" that you see in RTT girls rather than actually having absence seizures. Our local neuro did not feel comfortable starting the step down without consulting with our Texas doctors first....so basically I am still waiting for a phone call from them. I will keep you up to date on what happens with that!

Wow, TV's on the ceiling. I wish my dentist had that. He just has old murals of waterfalls on the walls.

Wow! Awesome job at the dentist! Where does she go Kelly? We go to a dentist in Ft. Wayne, but he isn't very kid friendly. Ashland "reward" for doing a good job (even though he screamed bloody murder the whole time) was a long stick balloon like they make balloon animals out of, but without the animal.

Thanks for the update mom. We are proud as to how well Brooklyn did at the dentist. We loved the pictures. Good luck to Brooklyn in coming off the meds. Grandpa says he sure had fun a week ago tonight. He misses you all very much.

P.S. from Grandpa George. He's enjoying Skyline chili for dinner. Wish you were here to enjoy it with him.

Way to go big girl! You handled the dentist better than Claire's dad does. I am so happy for you that your teeth are in good shape. Hope that the phone rings and the doctors get there stuff together quickly, less is more when it comes to drug. Keep showing off that beautiful smile!

Weren't you amazed that she didnt have any cavaties and that they said the grinding wasn't that bad? I about fell down when they told us that.
We wanna go to olive garden with you. It's only like a day to get there right?
