Our morning started off at Bob Evans with Grandpa George where Brooklyn had fried mush.....her favorite! She fell asleep towards the end of breakfast and was still asleep for our trip to Meijer :)When she woke up she let Grandpa carry her around the store....too cute!

I wish I could say the sleepiness was from a late night because it was New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, the truth is for about a week now she has been waking up two or three times a night. She is not sad or hurting, just wide awake - sometimes even giggling. Usually just lying in her bed clapping her little hands. Of course this ends up in a very sleep Brooklyn throughout the day (and a sleepy mommy too!) I hope this is just a "phase" that won't be lasting long!!!

Looks like a great way to start off the new year! I love your blog and read it often. Brooklyn is so cute and the Christmas photos are precious of your family.

We are awaiting the results of the MECP2 blood test to rule out or confirm that our daughter Grace has Rett's Syndrome. We hope to know more by the middle of January when we meet with a specialist. I'm learning so much from your blog and the links you have.

Happy New Year. I hope it is full of joy and happiness for your family. Anne

Claire is now napping because she too has been waking in the night, quiet and happy, but awake. We are hoping that she just isn't worn out enough since school is on break. Only time will tell. Hope that Brooklyn gets some good sleep soon.

Happy New Year, Brooklyn. I'm glad you got to spend time with your Grandpa George. I love spending time with my grandparents. My Mommy got on to your blog to see what you were up to and I saw your picture so I thought I would say Hi. I miss you! Hopefully we will see you at church on Sunday!

Brookie, you had mush this morning? Your Grandpa George sure knows the way to your heart. I loved the picture you two were coloring. I miss you and will see you sometime tomorrow.

YUM!! Mush sounds good, I know how much you love it. It looked like you had climbed into a dog cage and fallen asleep, I am glad your mommy told me you were at Meijer, hahahaha. I LOVE YOU!!

Ahh, the night time giggling. Martilee doesn't do it as much as she did around age four, but it still happens on occasion. While we're tired the next day, we generally can only laugh as well.

Must be another Rett thing.

Does she sleep in a seperate room? Abby went through it for a while. Something was hilarious for about 2 hours almost every night. This was when she was still in her crib.
She sleeps in my bed with me since the last time she got really sick and I couldn't hear her breath on her monitor so as soon as she raises her little head I put a hand on her back.
If she's happy and safe I'd say let it go. Smile and snuggle in. You'll hear her if something is wrong.

my kelly would wake up every night during regression (now I know it was regression, didn't then)...laughing way for hours. but she never ever napped during the day....now she'll laugh in the middle of the night about once a month....we say she finally got the "why the chicken cross the road joke" that her sister incessantly tells .... Not too much to do but hope it will pass....I don't give Kelly anything for it at this time as it happens so random. good luck and try to catch a nap.
