My Mother's Day Tribute

Mom,
I could sit at this computer for hours and hours and still not come up with the right words of love and thanks for you. This past year has been a tough one with Brooklyn's diagnosis and you have been there for me (and Charlie) through all of it. I know it has not been easy for you. You have had to watch both your daughter's pain and your granddaughter's pain. I can't imagine how that must feel. I hope you know that it has been such a gift from God having you here with us. You have sat in waiting rooms, changed diapers, given baths, cooked dinners, cleaned my house, done my laundry, wiped the tears from my eyes, and prayed daily for us. The most amazing thing though was that since January you have chosen to stay home with Brooklyn and continue her therapy program, read with her, play with her, go to music class and library circle time with her and love her so much! She has grown by leaps and bounds as you work with her each day. There are absolutely no words great enough to thank you for that. I hope that on this Mother's day (and everyday) that you know how much I love you. And even though Brooklyn can't speak the words "I love you" I think we all can see how much she loves and adores her Grammy!

Kelly, you really should have put a disclamer on this blog! Something along the lines of "Pregnant women should not read without an entire box of kleenex on hand". Happy Mother's Day!

eeeeek. I am so choked up reading this... You all are so blessed to have such a loving family. You are a perfect example of "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree".

Happy belated Mother's Day to you!! :)
