One of those things....

I know most of you look at this picture and see boarder that needs replaced. I look at it and see boarder that I might never be able to replace. Why? This damage is the last (actually only) damage that Brooklyn did to her room before she lost her hand control.
The topic has come up as we are beginning our "big girl room" renovation talk. Funny how I am finding the topic of a big girl bed easier to deal with than this crazy border...huh....the things I struggle with some days.....

I completely get it! I might be considering removing a chunk of drywall to keep it. I still look back at pictures of Brooke doing stuff with her hands with a little twang of guilt that I just didn't know how much to appreciate it.

I agree with samantha, I would cut a chunk out of the drywall and have it replaced!

What a great idea about the drywall! It would be a great mural above her "big girl bed". Kel, remember what a pain it was to remove the other old border? I think she is ready for a change. Is she going to use mommy's big girl bed like Jackson is using Kristin's?

If you would rather not take a chunk out of the wall, you may try buying a simple frame to place around the section of wallpaper. That way it has not been disrupted by taking a chunk of drywall, and it is at Brooklyn's level so she can always see it, even when she is older. Thinking about you all the time and I will try to stop tomorrow when I am on campus.

Your Mommy is one of the dearest people we have encountered. She is so thoughtful to send the care package to Carrie and Avery. If any good can come from this Rett Syndrome, it has to be all the good friends we are meeting and having an angel living with us. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

What an a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the small things your children do everyday. Many prayers and thoughts.
