Our latest "equipment"

We are SO THRILLED here in the Butler house!

As many of you know, we have been researching ways to assist Brooklyn in communicating (thank you to everyone for answering all my questions.) We have decided to go with Meyer-Johnson's Boardmaker w/Speaking Dynamically Pro

We have opted to load it on a Panasonic Tough book lap top computer. We have heard from other Rett families that these are VERY durable! (Brooklyn can knock it off the table, spill her milk on it.....you get the idea!)

This is a touch screen computer that can swivel down so Brooklyn can access the screen by tapping it instead using the keyboard. We hope that she can access her programs this way; however, we have a head-mouse system as well. I have boxes, manuals, cds, cords, and bubble wrap everywhere! I have lots of studying ahead if me in order to get things up and running for Brooklyn but I promise there will be videos and pictures in the near future!!

We had a very generous donor with A HUGE heart that was able to make this happen for us. I have no way to express what this means to me. How can a mother put into words what it means to be given such a gift? A blessing that might truly be LIFE changing for her little girl!

Incredible. You will be amazed. I know I've said this before, but your little girl has the best mom in the world.
