Did anyone see Angela Martin on American Idol ? OK normally Charlie and I only watch the first couple shows for a good laugh! However, I have a favorite contestant already. Angela has a daughter with Rett Syndrome.....so already I am her #1 fan! She talked about her daughter and the struggle of Rett Syndrome. What an amazing platform this could be! More to come......

LOVED HER! I hope she makes it beyond Hollywood. I will say she's already got some tough competition though....but I will vote for her til the end!
I to only watch the first couple of shows for a laugh, but immediately amazed to this Rett mom on T.V.. I live in Ontario and have a niece with Rett Syndrome. I called my sister right away. This morning out of curiousity I thought I'd check the net, and the first sight I found is yours!

Hi! I too saw American Idol..and was so touched by Angelas story. I have been researching rett all day and found this. I hope this brings awareness also!

I live in NY and have a neice with Rett Syndrome. She was diagnosed last year -she just turned 4 on SUnday. I sent an email to just about everyone I know to go on Oprah's site and request a show featuring Rett. I think if we flood them with requests, the producers will eventually respond. here's the link to request a show:
