God knew I needed a "pick me up"

"Ma" or "Mu"
Either one....music to my ears.
YES.....Brooklyn said mom. At least I think she did. (So did her therapist so it is not just me.) I am officially going on the record today that I believe she said it! I have been in a funk with the insurance crap, and all the depressing emails I have been reading on Rettnet (only Rett moms understand how horribly depressing those can be.) Anyway....I REALLY needed some encouragement and I GOT IT!!
Thanks Brooklyn. I love you.

Yippy!!! I meant to tell you after you posted about Caitlyn calling me momma...That she was a little over 2 1/2 when started saying it...Through everything, it sure is nice to hear. It does come and go, but sooo exciting when it comes back!!!!

And I know what you mean about the depressing emails...I recently had to unsubscribe to take a break from it all...That makes it a little easier to remember that in our little version of the Rett world, we are still just beginning. I get a little over whelmed from the stories/questions of the older families. I'm not there yet.

How awesome!

I bet that did feel great! Brooklyn knows with all of soul that you are her Mommy and I can see just how much she loves you and Charlie. Charlie was told me that he wonders how it will be in heaven with Brooklyn someday. He said he wonders if this little girl will come up to him and say "Hi, Daddy". I believe it will happen and just think of all the things you will be able to talk with her about!

Charlie, Kelly and Brooklyn, How wonderful that Brooklyn has you and Charlie for parents. How awesome that "mom" came when you most needed it. Whether she says it or not, Brooklyn knows and loves her mommie and daddy with all her heart. She would tell you that if she could.

Ahh...such a blessing! I'm telling ya...She is an angel sent from God! God knew you needed a pick-me-up today. Brooklyn loves you Kelly, and I'm sure you see it in her eyes everyday, even if you don't always hear the words!
