Rett Mommy Moment

Tonight was a rough one.
I could not get Brooklyn to crawl at all.....that is unless I was doing it for her. I tried everything, even the Wiggles were not making her budge. She has really been slowing down with her crawling but the past couple of days it has been non-existent. That is hard, really hard. She used to motor around everywhere. She was a speed crawler! It was the way she told us what she wanted:
backdoor = play outside
high chair = dinner
books = read to me
Now, we can only look in her eyes to see what she wants. Her beautiful, expressive eyes. Often it is a guessing game for us. Don't get me wrong.....we will continue to work with her on crawling and walking. We would love for her to be mobile again one day. Only God knows the future. Maybe she is having a "off week".... maybe not.

My heart goes out to you, and I'm praying it was just an "off" week. I think it is wonderful that she could communicate what she wanted by where she goes. I wish I had that with my Jenelle.

Hang in there!

Hi there. I just wanted to drop a line because I read on Doris' blog comments that you guys were thinking about Miralax. Some insurances wont cover it now because it is over the counter. I have an all natural recipe if you are interested. We started using it with Caitlyn, because it seemed the Miralax was causing some uncomfortable gas...if you want the recipe, email me at caitlynsmomma@msn.com

About the crawling, because of the high pain tolerance of our kiddo's, we always always check the ears when Caitlyn's balance starts getting a little off, or if her mobility slows. Sometimes the balance effects of an infection can occur before a fever.
